    When custom software is cheaper than off-the-shelf

    Off-the-shelf software is almost always the right answer, right up until you're stitching three packages together with CSV exports, or paying licences for users who need one screen. From that point on, a custom application isn't a luxury but a cost you earn back. We build those applications on a modern stack (React, TypeScript, Supabase) so you or another team can keep developing them later.

    1. Scoping and data model (week 1)

    We describe the user roles, the screens they need and the data model underneath. This is the phase where most of the cost is decided: every role you add later touches authorisation, screens and reporting at once.

    2. Working version in sprints (weeks 2–6)

    Every sprint delivers a version you can actually use, not a screenshot. That way you see early whether the process holds up in practice and can adjust before everything else is built on top of it.

    3. Permissions, logging and security

    Roles and permissions are enforced at the database level (row level security), not just in the interface. Actions are traceable, and sensitive data stays inside the EU infrastructure of your choice.
